Orangewood Academy believes education reaches its highest form when the academic, physical, and spiritual components are brought to practical and meaningful application through the experience of service.  Orangewood not only encourages every student to become involved in service as part of their personal lifestyle, but provides opportunities during the school year for involvement in local and more extended service opportunities.

TOAST

The Orangewood Academy Service Team is the moniker used to describe the student body involved in local community service opportunties.  Orangewood Academy partners with local government agencies and area food banks to provide the manpower needed for city beautification projects and homeless food programs.  TOAST Days are built into the school calendar to provide opportunities for students to meet the service hour component of the Orangewood academic program.

Short Term Mission Trips

Orangewood Academy also provides yearly opportunities for students to travel to communities who suffer from systemic economic deprivation.  Orangewood has partnered with Amor Ministries to build homes for impoverished familiies in Tijuana, Mexico.  A group of Orangewood high school students travel to Mexicali, Mexico to provide food and gifts to an orphanage and to build relational bridges with that community.  To see a brief movie clip on the most recent Mexicali Mission Trip, click here.
