Helen Dowser - MS/HS Science
Helen has spent 24 of her 35 teaching years at Orangewood Academy.
Although she has taught all of the grades from 1 - 12 at some time, her first love is teaching of Biology and Science.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Life Science and a state credential, she still continues to regularly attend conferences in order to enhance her teaching.
Helen states, "I love nothing better than to teach scientific principles and then relate it to the Christian life. I especially enjoy taking my students to places like Albion and Glacier National Park where I can spend in-depth time getting to know my students and teaching them various lessons from nature. My motto is to 'Never Give Up,' I rest in the promise that if I have committed my life to God, he will give me the desires of my heart."
Her ideal summer is camping with her husband in the mountains and spending time at the ocean.
