Aime Cuevas - 2nd Grade

Aime Cuevas - 2nd Grade

Currently the second grade teacher at Orangewood Academy, Aime has been teaching for the past 8 years, in which 7 of those years have been at Orangewood.

Similar to many other teachers at Orangewood Academy, she attended Orangewood Adventist Academy as a student for 12 years, from 1st through 12th grade.

After Orangewood Academy, Aime continued her Adventist education at La Sierra University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, emphasizing in child development. She also holds a teaching credential from La Sierra University. Currently, she is working on her Masters in School Counseling at La Sierra University.

Aime states that attending Adventist schools all of her life has been one of the most powerful impacts in her life. The acceptance and family-centered atmosphere that Orangewood provided for her during her youth was a priceless gift.

Aime states that "the teachers during my time at OAA offered and introduced me into a Christ-centered, self-disciplined life. They helped guide me to create and set my goals in life. They helped me accomplish some of my goals and then sent me off to face the world ready and prepared to accomplish the rest of my future goals. This is the reason I came back to my alma mater: to give in return, to my students, the quality education that was given to me."
